Hisense Middle East engages Jumbo Logistics for its supply chain management


Hisense, one of the largest global consumer electronics brand, distributes its products in the market directly. To fulfill the demand for its products reliably, Hisense needed a logistics partner who could store and manage their inventory, provide value added services and deliver their products across the UAE to various key & power retailers in a timely fashion.


Hisense approached Jumbo Logistics seeking a comprehensive logistics and warehousing management system. They wanted a complete end to end logistics solution for their inventory planning for efficient and agile distribution in the market. Hisense’s distribution network presented a unique challenge and they required a partner who addressed these challenges.

Hisense also required a complete Warehouse Management System (WMS) that provided 100% traceability and was able to track inbound and outbound movements of its inventory. To improve accessibility and reporting, an information system generating routine reports about movement of its inventory, wall-to-wall and cycle count, and inventory levels was essential. Also, Hisense wanted a partner to process the import of the arriving shipments.

Jumbo’s WMS and system driven management:

Jumbo Logistics suggested a complete end to end logistics and warehousing solution, which included storage, inventory management, and local key retail deliveries. These solutions included warehouse management system for Hisense at Jumbo’s facility in Jebel Ali for Hisense. This involved a comprehensive system of mapping the SKUs with WMS for inventory management and delivery order fulfillment. All the inbound and outbound activities were managed by Jumbo using WMS system which provided visibility on stock levels and its movements. Inventory cycle count were conducted to ensure the compliance of the SLAs.

Jumbo Logistics provided end-to-end warehousing and logistics solution for Hisense at a fixed percentage of the inventory cost while maintaining the Service Level Agreements (SLA) pertaining to inventory accuracy and retrieval and delivery time.


Jumbo’s WMS system improved the inventory visibility and traceability of individual SKUs, reduced loading time and delivery time and ultimately improved their fulfillment to the power retailers at a fixed cost, providing clear visibility on the cost.
